Consulting Services

We offer a comprehensive OJT program, including OJT trainer certification, that adapts to your own organizational climate and is tailored to your targeted needs.

HPA will be as involved in your OJT program implementation as you wish, including initial presentation and assessment, conducting workshops for your employees in Seattle or at your facility, providing on-site assistance with team job task analyses and writing training modules, and training and certifying your OJT trainers. In addition, we will provide all the follow-up assistance you need - free. A unique and invaluable feature is the close, personal coaching you will receive at each stage of the process.

We will get to know you and your specific organization's needs and then work with you to meet your objectives. No two organizations are alike, and neither are any two teams. Each implementation is unique - this is not a one-size-fits-all program. The beauty of TeamOJT is its simplicity and total flexibility in adapting to each organization's style and needs.

How We Work

First we have an initial conversation to determine your specific needs, and together decide how to proceed. This is usually accomplished via telephone, conference call, or face-to-face meeting whenever feasible.

We offer three options (or any combination of the three):

1. At your facility

   • Both workshops, TeamOJT Workshop and Train-the-OJT-Trainer Workshop, or a combination of the two, can be delivered at your facility.
   • Also on-site, we can present TeamOJT to your management team, conduct an OJT needs assessment, help you select areas for pilot implementations - areas where you are guaranteed a quick success, and help you plan and develop the entire OJT program and/or integrate into existing programs.
   • You may request that we work on-site with your intact work teams in their own environment to accomplish one or more of the following:
     • Conduct a team job task analysis
     • Write training modules, cover sheets, and performance objectives
     • Verify the training modules on-site
     • Train team members and/or other employees to use the modules to deliver on-the-job training
     • Put together a project plan, training implementation plan, and maintenance and evaluation plans
     • Provide follow-up assistance as requested
   
   

2. In Seattle - Small Group Coaching and/or Workshops

   You might prefer to send from two to six of your employees to Seattle to learn how to implement TeamOJT and/or train and certify your OJT trainers.

   • Both workshops, TeamOJT Workshop and Train-the-OJT-Trainer Workshop, or a combination of the two, can be delivered to your small group at our facility in Seattle.
   • We can coach you on particular aspects of TeamOJT such as conducting the team job task analysis and writing training modules and cover sheets.
   • You may decide to send an intact design team to Seattle. We will work with them to complete the team job task analysis, write the training modules and cover sheets, write the performance objectives, and develop implementation plans. They will return to your company armed with the training materials and documents that will enable them to begin training your employees the very next day.
   
   

3. Distance Learning

   If it is more convenient to your busy schedule to absorb the material a little at a time, we can coach you via telephone conversations, conference calls, e-mail, fax, downloadable templates and forms, and online tutorials. We will lead you through any part of the TeamOJT process - needs assessment, conducting team job task analyses, writing training modules and cover sheets, verifying modules on-site, conducting OJT, and evaluating your OJT program. We will review your job task analyses and training modules and cover sheets via fax or e-mail, help you create your project plan, training implementation plan, maintenance and evaluation plans, and provide advice on all aspects of your OJT program.

Pricing varies according to the specific options you choose. Call for an estimate.

Our hourly rate is $110 for the reviewing of your work - team job task analyses, training modules, etc.; and $150 for other consulting work such as distance learning or small group coaching.

Daily consulting fees range from $1200 - $1750, depending on the nature of the work, location, and degree of customization for workshops. Workshops are billed at the daily rates for up to 8 participants. Each additional participant is $150.00. Travel expenses are billed to the company.
